k2k Launcher is primarily for remapping special keyboard keys and mouse buttons that an application doesn’t recognize, such as some games, to common keys which your application will recognize. A typical scenario might be to remap the “Forward” and “Back” mouse buttons to typical keyboard keys which can then be configured in your game or other application.

k2k Launcher may be useful for those that don’t want to install a multi-megabyte mouse driver package, such as Logitech Setpoint, just to be able to use extra mouse buttons in an application that doesn’t recognize them.

When k2k Launcher is properly configured you won’t know it’s running other than by it’s presence in Task Manager. It has no GUI and will automatically exit when your application exits.Configuration is managed by editing a text file (keymap.ini).

k2k Launcher was built using AutoIt and is packaged with a Windows binary and the source code. It contains no malware.
